vacomputerservices asked:
My bulldog had 8 puppies. Something is eating them & it’s not her. We have had 5 puppies come up missing and they are now 3 weeks old.

they are 3 weeks? take them inside, for goodness sake, especially bulldog pups, they just opened their eyes and are being dinner for something?
I hope for their sake someone is stealing them instead of something eating them

thats so sad, you sure its no people climbing the fence and taking them. it is possible to hand rear puppies.

Raccoons can climb fences, and so can possums. Cats, of course, can, too.
Please take them inside!

What is WRONG WITH YOU, DONT LEABVE THE PUPPIES OUTSIDE WITHOUT YOUR EYES GLUED TO THEM SO MANY THINGS CAN HAPPEN TO THEM!
THERE JUST REALLY YOUNG PUPPIES< IF YOU DIDNT KNOW THAT YOU SHOULDNT BE BREEDING YOUR DOG!
February 12th, 2009 at 4:34 am
Coyotes? Or maybe they just escaped. What were you thinking leaving puppies that young outside? Don’t breed your dogs if you aren’t responsible enough to take care of them.

at 3 weeks old your puppies should not be outside.. and let alone UNATTENDED? thats really sad that you would jepordize your puppies like that! besides the fact of something eating them they are too young for the heat and after the 1st puppy, wouldn’t you take different precautions? anything can come into a fenced yard, THE MOTHER COULD EAT THEM ALSO BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SAFE.. .. if your gonna breed BE A RESPONSIBLE BREEDER!!.. geeeez

Wow love my dog really went off on you. I’d like to see her try and watch 8 puppies at the same time and never take her eyes off one for a second. Impossible. I agree that its probably a wild animal doing that. Try a small circle fence where you can watch all of them.

1. TAKE THE PUPS INSIDE!!
2. Foxes, raccoons, large birds
February 22nd, 2009 at 4:28 am
well, the puppies are surely small, and light weight. So it’s very easy for an eagle, or hawk to just take one away. You should watch the backyard for awhile and see if any of the birds mestioned are taking the puppies away
I hope I’ve answered your question.

at only 3 weeks old they should not be outside…they definitely should not have been outside when they were younger than this.
they need shelter and warmth and security. you also need to be able to check on them several times a day and night.
bring them inside.
since you havent done the basics, i hope you are treating them properly in other ways… like having the mother on a puppy food diet etc etc etc.

That is sad! I have heard many cases of small dogs and puppies being taken away by large birds.
Hawks and Eagles are the most common; they are my best bet.
Foxes are very sneaky and if they can get through the fence, they will. Maybe a Racoon?
Not to be mean, I would NEVER leave a dog under 2 years outside alone; even in a fence. I watch my dogs every second, they are only ever alone (at the most) for 5 minutes. Puppies that young need to be in house near their mother, kept warm and safe.

Hey VA,
It might be a snake. Because I know you got the puppies in a 10×10 dog house. And you had 1 come up missing friday and after you put them on your back porch. Their is no way anything flying can get to them.
February 28th, 2009 at 3:06 am
Geez, why are you leaving 3 week old pups outside. Coyotes have no problem clearing fences up to 8 feet.

You have got to be kidding. If you cared about the puppies, they wouldn’t be in the back yard at all. Regardless of what killed these puppies, you are at fault here. Take the rest of them inside and get them inside a box with mom so they are safe. Did you do any kind of research before you started breeding? I would suggest you never try this again and get your dog spayed.
Or maybe you plan on doing this with your own offspring.
I am disgusted.
