What happens when a 6 month old dog is left for 2 months in a hotel?
I am buying a dog soon, but know that in the summer I will not be home, so the dog is going to be sent to a dog hotel. This hotel has a lot of space and every dog will be walked and trained for obedience individually every single day. Also it will be socialized with other people and dogs.
My question is Is the dog going to be loyal to me when I come back, will it remember me?

most likely not.. leaving a 6 month old dog with someone ealse..at that younge of an age it would become attracted to teh trainer and respect it more. but you can train it to respect you back… i dont recomed leaving it tho Animal Lover <3

It’s hard to say if it will remember you, being so young still. Why not buy a dog when you get back home? Jeff

If you haven’t bought the dog, you should NOT! This is not like he’ll stay there for a weekend or week while you’re on vacation. He will be there for 2 months. He would feel lonely without you, might get stressed out that you’re gone, and may bond with somebody else. Wait to buy a dog/puppy when you’re more settled in life (without leaving on long periods of time).
I think he’ll remember you, but might not get a good response from him when you see him (after the 2 months). Long time I ago, I had a cat that I left (in a safe home - with fam) for a week when I had to leave. When I came back he was pissed! He actually bit me. Chel

WAIT UNTIL YOU GET BACK to get a dog!
Would you leave a BABY in a care facility for 2 months! f100_supersabre

What’s the point in getting a dog, why not just wait until you can spend time bonding with him/her?
I can’t see a dog being loyal to somebody it barely knows. Beth
