What dog breed of puppy should i look into getting?

L<3 asked:

Right now I have a Puggle who does very well with other dogs and seems to be happier with other dogs so we decided we might get another. We were hoping to find a medium sized energetic low-shedding dog that is very cute and dog and cat friendly! Probably non herding because we have 2 cats. We have no idea where to start looking, so please help tell us some good breeds for us!

first of all Puggle is not a breed, it is an overpriced mutt. ( I own a Pug/Beagle Mix and do not call her a puggle because there is no such thing, it is just a name people give there dogs to make them seem better than other dogs). and second, try petfinder.com. there are millions of dogs in shelters that need homes. @ Save the Pit Bulls~ LOl…there IS such a thing as a ‘puggle’…it just isn’t what owners of pug/beagle mixes think. It’s a baby Platypus :)
Personally, I would go to a shelter and look at adult or young adult dogs and see how they interact with your current dog. You will be able to judge temperaments pretty well on neutral ground. Jennifer M~ Baby Cameryn is Here

Bedlington Terrier (if socialized properly with your cats, it will be alright), Coton De Tulear, Bichon Frise, Bulldog, Chinook, Whippet Heidi
