What changes do puppies go through when turning in to a adult?

puppies
Rachel asked:

So I work at a zoo and one of wolves here has had her first litter of puppies. I’ve always adored wolves, and would like to know what changes in appearance will the puppies encounter? Like, will their fur grow longer, will their tails lengthen. I mean, what will make them really qualify as adults? Sorry If I don’t make sense -_-

You will notice when the pups are turning into adults when they start eating their own food & how their parents teach them to hunt & they don’t need their help anymore with the hunting.

Also, their bark will get slightly deeper & yes, their hair will grow longer but possibly the tail as well. •Simply Moi•

Dogs the first year will grow up the 2nd year they grow out (fuller coats, ect)
Dogs under a year are puppies
1yr Old is considered an adult however they are not fully grown until they are 2 yrs of age. Jon

…is this a joke? I mean really if you don’t understand the changes that go on within ALL animals as they mature from young to old, maybe you shouldn’t be working in a zoo and should def. go back to school.

Of COURSE their fur will get longer and their tails will grow. So will everything else about them. What makes any animal an adult is reaching the average adult size of their species and having a mature reproductive system. In the case of wolves this is around 2-3 years of age.
