What can I do to make my dog more comfortable around other dogs?

***Bop i$ the be$t*** asked:

I need help with this really bad. I’m watching my cousin’s dog for a whole week and my dog is terrible around other dogs. He starts trying to bite the dog and then he just sits in a corner and cries for a little while. Any advice to make him like the dog, or at least behave around him? My dog’s a Golden Retriever, so of course he’s very loyal and I think he might be jealous of the dog. Please help! Thanks!

Too bad Golden Retriever is sad. He is protecting what’s his: home and master. Perhaps you should have introduced the two dogs before you decided to dog sit. Your dog is really loyal so perhaps you should just separate them in different quarters until your cousin picks up Fido.
