What breed of dogs are good for people with allergies?
So my little brother is allergic to all kinds of things like cats, dogs, certain food, etc. But, our family wants a dog. Also my little brother has asthma. So what are some kinds of dogs don’t trigger his allergies that much and are good for him?

there’s no 100% guarantee that any particlar breed wont trigger allergies.
Poodles are generally well tolerated by most, but your brother would have to spend time with some poodles and see if they trigger his allergies. HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

you should look into hypoallergenic dogs. no dog is 100% non-allergenic, but some dogs are basically low-allergy. they shed little to no hair and less dander than typical dogs. Here are a few breeds:
Basenji
Bedlington Terrier
Bichon Frise
Border Terrier
Laberdoodle
When looking at differnt dogs make sure to ask and confirm that the animal you are choosing are hypoallergenic! mconnor1218

A Miniature Schnauzer is a good choice due to the least shedding. Great for allergy sufferers. Dog behavior

Low shedding dogs: Shih Tzu, Poodle, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Bichon Frise, Wire haired Dachshund.
Important to have professional grooming done, keep up with cleaning floors etc.
My husband is asthmatic and grew up with dogs of all kinds and he competed in horse shows.
We have 7 dogs. So, it is possible.
Please be aware a ’short haired’ dog does NOT mean it is not a high shedder. Also, Labrador/Poodle mixes (labradoodles) are not a ‘breed’ and there is no guarantee the dog is going to come out with a coat that is more Labrador (VERY high shedders) or Poodle. Launi *If you SAY it, OWN it!*

People are usually allergic to Dander, this is dead skin cells and dead hair that comes of the dog, not the dog itself.
You are best going for a dog that doesn’t shed much.
Here is a list, and I have put a link to their profiles on the American kennel club site, with information and a picture of the breed:
Poodle:
Maltese:
Bichon Frise:
Bedlington Terrier:
Chinese Crested:
Irish Water Spaniel:
Portuguese Water Dog:
Puli: Panthera Onca

If you want a mid to large dog a labradoodle would be great. They are kind and very good to train and very good personality for a dog. My sister is has allergies of pet hair and have have my labradoodle stay over and she has no problems with him. for a cat a none shedding cat. For food you could check into Herbalife products. ytraccm
