They get a dog that is "not for them" and they lose control and just don't care anymore. No one wants to give a dog what it needs, if it doesn't fit into their schedule. Anyway, when you figure this out, go to puppyfind.com and look at the size you want and check out all the breeds and find one that has the temperment and all that suits you. Beware puppy mills though, check out the breeders first. Good luck. I love my schnauzer, if you are sort of laid back, you will too. Plus they are super smart. Mine housebroke in 2 days! Great with my 2 kids, and not too dominant when company comes over. But still protective. 100% schnauzer-miniature standard or giant.
