Pee Bee asked: I just adopted a dog from the shelter home and I would like it to befriend my old dog. I hope they will be friends. How do I introduce my new dog to my dog?
The own I just adopted is a Cocker Spaniel, very friendly while the current dog I have is a Dachshund. They are both males. I am worrying whether they will fight or not. I bringing the new dog home on Sunday. I hope they will get along fine.
My dachshund is an agressive-kind-of dog.

Laura L asked: My dog is a miniature pinscher, and he can never get along with other dogs. I mean, the moment he sees other dogs, he starts barking like crazy! What’s worse, when he gets near to the other dog, he starts attacking it. Is there a way to teach my dog not to be so mean? If so, how?

1337 Cyclista asked: Me and my family have decided we want a dog. We have owned dogs before, but they never went well. Allot of the time, the dog either chews things, or is just not compatible with us. Now, many of my friends and cousins have dogs that fit perfectly with their family. How do I know which one is good?
Im looking for a dog, not very active, but not lazy at the same time. No shedding please. Also we’d like the dog medium to large size, that is a good outdoor dog, that we can stil bring inside.

I have a smaller dog that will jump up in your lap and the pads on her paws are so rough that it scratches you. I have a lot of friends that have dogs and there dogs pads are not like this.
Is there anything that I can do to soften them ?

Branden asked: My bigger dog (Lucky) always beats-up other dogs and harms them severely (I don’t know why but Lucky is a tough fighter). And my chihuahua just cusses out other dogs and refuses to have anything to do with other dogs.
The only dogs they can get along with are each other. What are some ways I can get my dogs to start having friends?

abc123 asked:
Me and my friends both have a puppy, hers is two weeks older than mine. And we want to walk them together but they keep fighting when we’re walking, my puppy is scared and hers is really out-going. My puppy has started going to puppy classes, but other than us there’s only one other puppy there. How should we behave around them so they can get along better?
We let them off on a field, it starts as playing but then it become aggressive.

gster1977 asked:
I have a collie cross and a friend has a german shepard. My dog is really crap with other dogs, she is protective and snaps when confronted. My friends dog is very dosile but does like to play. We would like to be able to get them to get along as we want to dog swap for holidays and that sort of thing. We take them on long walks together but if one sniffs around the other it ends in a fight. Any thoughts really appreciated.
