Is it possible? I only hear about dog trainers and vets instructing to separate the dogs when the female dog is in heat. What about training the male dog to resist the urge of a female dog in heat and behave itself calmly?

No, i’m not taking a dog to be trained myself… i offered myself as a volunteer and i got a couple of replies back saying that they could use my help.

I have never been to a dog training session, so i was just wondering what kind of tasks you think they might give me being neither an owner or an instructor.

I do have a clicker… I was very impressed with how easy and quickly she responded to it. I take my dogs to the dog park so they do a lot of socializing there. I’m just not very impressed with the training I’m getting. Asking questions is hard, because I think the trainer is more distracted than the dogs.

I train dogs and help people find the breed that suits their lifestyle. I give information on good locations to obtain a dog [breeder, shelter] and how to care, etc. But this service is mainly about training and pet finding.
