belle asked:
She will take toys from my other dog and hoard them in her crate. If my other dog tries to get her toy back, she is almost attacked.
How can I change this?

I have a 2 1/2 year old pitt bull-boxer mix. He LOVES to chew on soft dog toys (like stuffed animal kinds of things) but he tears them to pieces in minutes and I don’t want him to get sick from swallowing anything (even though I always supervise him). What kinds of toys would be good? I’ve given him nyla bones, kongs, and tennis balls but he just doesn’t seem to care about them. Thanks.
Thanks for all the great advice!!

My dog has those, I want to get him a new toy. He is food motivated (so he likes his kong) and he likes stuffed toys but only if they squeak. He doesn’t fetch so things like frisbees won’t work. What else would he maybe like?

Dogs and puppies love dog toys, but how do you know what toy is right for your dog? With so many choices available, from plush toys, to tennis balls, to rubber toys, the right choice isn’t always obvious.

KKingS asked: I’m taking care of some family’s dogs for the week, but I only own one dog. My dog always seems very aggressive towards other dogs, but they seem to be getting along alright. My dog is always trying to lick under the chin of one of the other dogs, and that dog doesn’t seem to like it much. Is that some type of communication, and if yes, what does it mean?
Also…since I’ve got you here
… my dog keeps taking the toys aways from that particular dog. If the one dog starts playing by himself with a toy, or if they start a game of tug of war, my dog starts growling and takes the toy away. Is that how dogs normally play, or is my dog being a bit selfish?
