I have a Dachshund who now has five puppies that are four weeks old. We have moved them into a new room with a larger caged area. Our female does not like staying in the cage with them at night, but since she is in another room we cannot hear here whine to go to the bathroom. Our room is too small to have the puppies cage in there, so does she need to stay with them at night?

How do you train your dogs to walk without a leash?

My fiance’s parents dogs have always been trusted to walk outside and come back in without a leash. My friends dog and 1 of my dogs can do this as well, but the other 3 dogs are clueless (they are a bit young).

Can this be trained or is everyone else just fortunate unlike me? I live in an apartment with a nice side yard (with no fence).

It’d also be nice to take my other 3 dogs to the park some day to play fetch.
My trustworthy dog is a basset/beagle, other’s are a border collie mix.. mini dachshund and beagle/rat terrier mix.
