Dogs and Puppies

my boyfriend and i are moving in to an apartment and we’re going to get a corgi puppy from a family we know. we’ve both have had dogs but neither of us have had puppies in awhile. the hardest puppy related problems i can think of our bathroom accidents and chewing problems. how do you train a puppy properly for these things?

I am thinking of getting another dog. I have a female dog that will be 3 in Feb. 2008 and I was wondering what small dog breed would be a good companion for her. My dog is very friendly and playful towards other dogs. I live in an apartment so the dog would only be able to go out when my husband & I take her on walks. I am wanting a female dog. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what breed would be a good breed to get? I am wanting a dog that would be no bigger than 15 lbs. when fully grown.

My future wife hates to have a dog any where around her. She’s not afraid of them but she just dislikes them anywhere near her personal space. I have had my daschund for 4 years and she is an inside dog since I live in an apartment. She agrees that my dog is the sweetest and least annoying she has ever been around but still she gets anxious and nervous. We have talked seriously about getting married and I’ve compromised to let the dog stay outside most of the time when we get married. But she is not willing to bend a bit. She said that she wouldn’t even like my dog sitting in my lap for 10 minutes in the evening while I watch TV. She says that she is dead set on letting the dog anywhere near the inside of the house. How can I deal with my future wife hating the dog that I love as a child? The dog is housebroken with unbelievable manners. What should I do? I love my dog like a child.

I petsitted my cousin’s dog, Sierra, for 6 months because they lived in an apartment and couldn’t keep the dog in the apartment. While I had the dog, the dog killed her. I am petsitting Sierra again, I now have a new kitten, we can’t keep them seperate, so is there any way that I can keep Sierra from “playing” with my kitten?

Please don’t tell me to have the dog put down or anything I just want to know how to get them to get along or something.

I am only petsitting Sierra for a couple days, but I don’t want to take the chance in her doing that to my kitten again.

I also need the dog to small to medium sized at most, and has shorter hair and doesn’t shed much. The dog also needs to be somewhat friendly because my fiance has a two year old nephew that visits.
