Check in newspapers around where you live and the papers as far as you are willing to travel. They will usually have a free or give away section in them to where you can find free animals. jj.mcintosh

If you want a nice, good quality dog, he won’t be free. But I suggest Samoyeds. They are great family dogs and I am not dissapointed with mine. Here is the site of the breeders I got him from.

Your question worries me. If you are not willing to spend any money on buying the dog itself, are you willing to spend the thousands of dollars it costs to own a dog? When you first get a dog (especially a puppy) it needs to be taken to the vet to make sure it’s up-to-date on its shots, spayed/neutered, and you need to buy flea/tick and heartworm medication. These meds are given monthly, and cost about $50 for a three month supply. You also need to buy good food, a crate, toys, and other supplies to care for your dog. What are you going to do if the dog gets sick? Needs emergency medical attention? My dad’s dog recently needed to go to an emergency vet, and the bottom price for their care was $1,000. Please take all of this into consideration before you buy a dog. The shelters are filled with animals who were taken into a home that didn’t know the cost of owning a pet. Please don’t add to their numbers. missbeckydee
