The babies were bottle fed the first three days, only two lived the mom killed the others. She took the two back fine after a few days. I moved the mom and the puppies to the outdoors a four days ago and they are adjusting well. Puppies are half basset hound and half ?

now you can introduce and you literally have to dip their nose in it, and be careful when you introduce food in 2 weeks cause if you get them all together at the same time youll have a riot on your hands, use soft food and theyll learn to lick it off their noses and eat in within minutes

Most puppies are ready to eat solid foods by six weeks.

You don’t have to do anything like dip the puppies noses in it, they will figure it out on their own. There is no such thing as an unweaned full grown dog! Don’t force the puppies, be gentle and kind.
What you do is leave a bowl of water with mom and the puppies and when the puppies are ready they will start taking tiny drinks and each day they will drink more and more. Weaning is really easy. Just be gradual.

The pups’ mom would naturally introduce them to the water. Just leave a bowl out, and when mom goes, so will the pups.
    good luck!
