Amanda asked:

I will want my dog to have puppies in the near future, and I have papers for her. But how would I go registering her puppies?

You need to have registered parents of the same breed. The parents need to both be registered at through the same registry. You need to contact the registry that the parents are registered with for thier protocol. Most times it’s easy and can be done for a small fee. http://www.businessbrokersguide.com/mortgage-business-broker.htm

The male you breed to has to be papered as well. When the pups are born you contact the registry for litter registration and pay whatever fees they ask. Obviously they both have to be the same breed and with the same registry. Before actually breeding though make sure your dog and the stud dog meet all of the breed standards, have no genetic deficiencies they will pass on, preferably have been shown and have championships, and that there is not an over abundance of her breed out there. So many breeds are over breed anymore and there aren’t enough homes for them. Please think before you breed! Best wishes. http://www.premierhomestyle.com/towel-bars-and-rings-1543

If the parents are AKC registered, you can do it on the website. Just go to AKC.org and you can find a link to register the litter. Either have the paperwork sent to you to fill out or do it online. If it’s another registration club, I’m sure you can do the same, I’ve just never dealt with any other. BOTH dam and sire need to be registered, however. So, whichever sire you use needs to have papers as well if you want the pups to.

And to ensure good breeding, be sure they meet breed standards. Do ALL health checks with the vet you need to do(depending on the breed), i.e., hip checks and stuff like that. And just make sure they’re both healthy enough to breed. http://www.resumeminers.com/Job-Interview/Language-Barriers.htm
