If you plan on taking your puppy to the park around other dogs, there is a vaccine that protects them a lot more in addition to the others. I don't remember the name, but it's only $5 - $7 more. Most of the shots only have to be repeated once a year after they are given but the initial ones are to make sure the puppy stays healthy.
