Hey! I know what you mean, if i get my dog one of those soft fuzzies he will rip it within one minute:) Once I got a canvas toy it went for about 2 weeks..You could make a sock spider. Take your old socks and tie them in the middle!! Also you could put some treats in a sock and tie the other end up so it wants the treats but has to open the sock to get it!

I also go this toy for my dog called a tug a jug...It is jug where you can put treats or dog food. You open the end and put the food in, then close it. The dog can't open it...On the other end is like a ball with an opening with a rope, so if the dog flips the jug over SOME food will come out so it keeps wanting to open it for the food! If it can't do it try taking the jug and show him what to do! :)

Get him a bone, they love certain types! Also they sell dog ice ceams, and bones with penut butter on top! My dog loves them! Beagle!

An easy toy that you can buy that will keep her occupied for along time is a Kong, since it is hollow and open on both ends, fill the middle with peanut butter or mabey even wet dog food, but peanut butter would probably hold her attention more, and put down a blanket to chew it on (the peanut butter may have some slip out, hense the blanket!!) She will keep licking in it till she gets the peanut butter! TheDogGirl(:

Kong toys are great but, to make some..

A washcloth ( get it wet and freeze it)
Socks
( remember a sock or a washcloth tied in a knot makes it different from a regular sock or washcloth, so she wont steal the others thinking its hers)
old stuffed animals (make sure there are no hard peices like eyes)

Dont give her water bottles anymore.. if she can chew off a peice of that plastic and swollow it, it can litterally tear her up inside. Courtney R

1. Put a tennis ball into a clean sock, and tie a knot after the ball

2. Tie a dish towel into a knot. (it has a bonus, because you can wash it)

3. Take a tennis ball, cut 2 holes in it on either side, thread rope to the ball and knot it to make a handle or loop. makes a perfect fetch toy, or tug-of-war toy.

4. cut a hole in a tennis ball, put a jingle bell in it, and sew the seam back together with a sturdy needle and thread

Hope this helped :) Caroline

A lot of dogs love ice cubes. (they don't last long but they are easy to make). Another thing that you can do is take 3 strips of fleece about 1-1/2 inches wide and 1-2 feet long and braid them together tightly and tie a really tight knot at each end. They are really fun and they are easy to make and they last for a while. I have given them to saint bernard puppies (they are strong) and they have lasted tor weeks. They love to use them as tug of war ropes.

Hope this helps
good luck! Rach H

You can't make them but a knuckle bone is perfect for a big chewer. They last a long time, clean teeth and are safe for the dogs to eat. It's a natural bone sold in some pet stores or go to a butcher. It's a cows knee bone. Also look for a kong toy. Reece Braveheart Aussies
