вσуѕяυѕтιмєѕ3 asked:

I have a neighbor that has two pomeranians and a cat that she lets run the neighborhood. I have caught the dogs on two seperate occasions pooping in my front yard. I have knocked on her door and asked her to come and pick up the dog poop and she has. Is there a way to keep the dogs out of my yard?

Call animal control, and report her for having the dogs off-leash, unattended. Are there leash laws in your area? Either way, animal control will let you know what can be done.

In the meantime, pick up all the poop and drop it off in a pile on their driveway or front porch.

Shoot them when they first enter your yard. I am 100% positive that they’ll never come back.

No joke….get yourself a big dog to scare the (pardon the pun)..crap out of the little dogs..then if they know there’s a big dog in your yard..they won’t come back.

put a no p00ping sign in the yard… I’m sure they’d understand, u know dogs!

  8. Scanz Says:

    1) Tell her that if you catch her dogs in your yard off leash again, you will be calling animal control.

    Alternatively,

    2) Call animal control and don’t tell her.

Try calling animal control to ask if they have a leash law in your area. If they do, tell them your problem and I’m sure they can handle the situation for you. If they don’t have a leash law, the next best thing would be for you to talk calmly to your neighbor and explain that because of your children stepping in the mess from her dogs, in your yard, you would appreciate it if she confined her dogs to her yard,
I assume those adorable kids in the picture are yours? Good luck.

Not really.. but I had the same problem.. called the police, humane society all that good stuff. What you can do is sue the guy for you having to clean up crap… property damage… Did not work for me so I took like a crap load of salmon and threw it in my neighbors ditch (overgrown with weeds) right by his porch.. Summertime must suck for him… he cant even sit on his porch ..paybacks are hell… I bet his wife is out there with douches and a garden hose trying to figuring out what the smell is coming from……ahahaha

    Get a gate or fence

Animal control would be the first step. I would also leave the poop on her front porch. That neighbor is just being rude and inconsiderate. The owner putting leashes on her pets is the only way to keep them out of your yard.

I have a friend that ran an electric fence around his front yard, when he had this problem and they never came back.

a dog won’t poo if it can see it’s reflection. try putting see through bottles filled with water on your lawn, after awhile it’ll stop coming by. move the bottles daily it confuses the dog even more. if that doesn’t work you get something from your supermarket- usually in the poison section, it will make the dog uneasy, it’s not a poison it’s a substance you put in your grass

  16. Larry B Says:

Pick it up and drop it on their front porch with a note letting them know where it came from.

  17. jesayre Says:

sprinkle hot (very) hot pepper on the lawn –especially where they come on the property
do not do anything stupid to the dogs-it is not their fault that they are owned by an idiot

    You could try this:=

If the neighbor is being nice, then calling animal control could break down your releationship quickly.
I assume you have explained to them that having poop in your yard is not acceptable to you.

A cheaper solution is to try these 2 things.
    1. Get some 1.5 or 2 liter soft drink bottles, and put them in your yard. I don’t know why but dogs stay away from them.
Just take an empty 1 1/2 litre or 2 litre soft drink bottle (clear plastic) take off any wrappers and fill it with water. Put it out on the lawn to see if it works…
When your neighbor complains about how bad they look, explain to them how much you hate poop, and if they keep the dogs out of your yard, then the bottles can go.

    2. Remove scent from the area with soap and water. spray 1/3 dishwashing detergent and 2/3 water solution over the yard. I have also heard that this will work by removing the dog scent, and they won’t think it is ok to poop there.

These are both inexpensive, and easy to try.

    Good luck.

EDIT: I noticed a lot of people telling you to do stuff like put hot peppers in the yard or poison. I assume your kids are int he yard, so don’t do anything that would prohibit them from playing there. No reason for them to be punished because of the dogs.

    I’d suggest a fence.

  20. Hound Lover Says:

I agree, call animal control. There probably is a leash law, meaning all dogs must be kept on a leash.

Document every time you find poop in your yard and report it every time. Sooner or later, animal control will get sick of you calling and sending letters and will do something about it.
