How can i tell if antibiotics have affected the puppies?

puppies
Nicola B asked:

Hi, I am about to buy a puppy who’s mother had antibiotics whilst pregnant, how could that have affected the puppies and could there be any health issues in the future?
Also I was told that the pups may have been born stillborn due to it. Would that have been because of the stress or the type?

i Dont think the antibiotics would affect the pups, the vet would never have put the mother on them if she/he new it would affect the pups in any way. hope this helps http://www.autostires.com/baer-rotor-328

Find out what antibiotic it was, and do some research, or talk to a vet about it. http://www.healthstorebargains.com/srch/srch.php?q=Oils

If you love youre puppy it shouldnt matter what the hell happend before it came into your life.
Most people got their pets without knowing where they came from. http://www.qualitylawnmower.com/grasshopper-lawn-mower.htm

The vet wouldn’t give anything that would hurt the puppies, there is no need to worry. I’d only be worried if the mother had antibiotics whilst feeding the pups, but even then a good breeder knows that pups need a small amount of probiotic goats yoghurt to balance it out. http://www.proofficesupply.com/online-office-supply.htm

It shouldn’t cause any issues exactly, but it might mean that using the same anti-biotics to treat an illness your dog gets in later life won’t have any effect.

You need to find out about the anti-biotics used.

If, for example, the anti-biotics used are also used to treat infected wounds and then you dog gets an infected wound that it will take longer for the antibiotics to clear up the infection.

Also, it makes me wonder why the b1tch needed anti-biotics whilst pregnant? A healthy dog shouldn’t need anti-biotics whilst pregnant.

I personally would be concerned if i was about to get the puppy. http://www.greattoolsusa.com/generators-and-pressure-washers-4345

A tetracycline type antibiotic will make the puppy’s teeth yellow for it’s entire lifetime, I have a cat who was born from a mother cat who was given this and can verify that it’s true.

Depends on the antibiotics and how long she was on them. Your vet would be the best to answer this but you need to find out what kind of antibiotics were involved, why they were being given, how much she had and at what stage of the pregnancy she had it. http://www.popwebshop.com/music/

It all depends what kind of antibiotisc they were. My nanna got a puppy from a bad breeder and when his adult teeth come throught they were all discoloured and will probably need to be remove when he is quiet young and the vets believe his mum was propably give a certain kind of antibiotics when she was pregnant. http://www.resumeminers.com/universities/religious-degree.htm
