Corgis are great dogs, Jack Russel Terriers are as well but they can be expensive, and they are very hyper. Miniature Doberman Pincers are nice, too. Keep your eyes peeled - there are some REALLY great small mix breeds out there. Beiiju
There are loads of terriers- all are cute and like lots of fuss and all dogs like to cuddle but some like to be The Boss. If you train him/her properly, you’ll be The Boss and get lots of cuddles OurJen
Allot of choosing a dog depends on your living situation and your life style. Go to you local animal shelter and ask the employess about the dogs. You can also go to and find out all about the breeds you like. The more research you do the happier you and your new puppy will be. Good Luck Starlight
papillons, cavaliers, shih tzus, there are lots of small friendly dogs. I would strongly suggest any of these simply because they all are great dogs and just want to cuddle with you all day, especially cavaliers!!! Good Luck and congratulation, dogs are really great companions and no matter which you choose I’m sure you’ll be happy.
P.S. You may also want to check out your local animal shelter or Humane Society they always have a bunch of sweet dogs that just want someone to love them!!! mvh
Just yesterday you were asking if you should get two completely different kinds of dogs - a pug or a cocker spaniel.
On top of that, you said that you work basically 8+ hours a day.
I warned you that this would not be acceptable for a puppy. And even with an adult dog, you’d need either a dog walker or a doggie day care for him.
“Friendly” and “likes to cuddle” is not a breed thing. It’s a specific dog this and will have a TON to do with quality breeding and the temperament of the dog.
“Cute” is a acceptable place to start your search, but it should only point you to dogs that you are attracted to. From there, your lifestyle and the qualities of the breed should be your main focus. BYB’s: Tom, Dick & Heinous
I don’t agree with the first answerer. Terriers do love to play, but they are independent and not cuddly, they want to do their own thing. I recommend a Boston Terrier or a French Bulldog. They LOVE people, and love to play and love to cuddle and are a small, but not tiny, size. Azawakh and Sloughis Rule
bichon frise. they are adorable and fluffy, and LOVE people. they’re bigger than a chihuaha but still small. i have one and she literly acts like a person. they are very friendly and love being pet. Mel

i would recommend PUGS!! i own 3. they are the best dogs ever. they are small, loyal dogs. they love people. they cuddle with you all the time. they love to sleep with u in bed and keep warn next to you. they are also nice warmers. they sleep on your feet and keep they warm in the cold winters. (live in cold state) jbny
Pugs are the absoulute most adorable cuddlers. My buddie will fall asleep on my lap when im sitting down watching TV or on my laptop. she lays on my lap all the time and is very protective. Everytime i get up she gets up and follows me everywhere. I adore her. Pugs do have breathing problems but its not much to worry about unless you want a small dog to take for a mile or 2 mile run. My dog is very energetic too, she can probably run a mile or more without being so tired. when were playing its almost endeless. she is very kind and wouldnt hurt a flie…..although she chases at em. Pugs are great dogs they do need some muzzle area cleaning once in a while but thats easy. Pugs are very cute. They snort when they sleep and i think it is adorable. They are soft, and do shed like every other dog. But, when i picked a pug to be my partner ad buddy, i always know i made the right decision. LexyLover4Ever

Most terrier breeds stay small, don’t shed, love to play, and are great family dogs. dapunkin2001
