Alot of people have dogs for friends. Dogs are also used to help blind people. They are also used to find missing people or locate drugs. MoNiCa C

dogs are mostly for and enjoyment but some are for the blind and deaf. Judy F

The purposes: They are great companians, they are loving and fun

Dogs were first domesticated for protection/alerts (the dogs would bark if a threat approached the colony etc). Since then dogs have been further domesticated to be our “friends”. They are around for companionship rather than having a useful purpose. But there are working dogs that are employed in the police force, fire departments, and hospitals (therapy dogs).. they also worked for the disabled. Some disease/parasite prevention would be regular vaccinations, de-worming medications etc.
Careers with dogs would include: K-9 unit in the police force, grooming, training, pet therapy, vet, owning/operating in a kennel, dog rescue center (spca, humane society etc). Heather L

purposes: companionship, drug sniffing, police work, guide dogs,protection
ideas: dogs and owners usually look alike.
uses: bomb &drug sniffing, search and rescue, cadaver finding dogs, dogs that help the physically handicapped, guard dogs
disease/parasite prevention: vaccinations for dieases, flea collars and drops for parasites like fleas/ticks, pills for heartworms
careers with dogs:police, pet therapy, visit nursing homes, veternarian laceybug

Dogs make great companions they keep you company. They don’t care about anything except that u love them and treat them good. Farmers also use them and in many other jobs. They can help heal sick people. You can’t get desease from dogs that are up to date on their shots. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and i have never gotten anything.

Dogs are friend that love you unconditionally! Besides friends they are help full, they help blind people and sick people, and careers maybe working with animal cruelty prevention or at an animal shelter, or better yet a vet! rorie1022
