try going to dogbreedinfo.com. they should have a quiz on which dog is best for you. take it, and then narrow down your choices by searching them on the web for their price. if you want/need more info, try dogster.com. there are a lot of dog lovers and owners there who can give you a lot of helpful info. hope that helps! waffle_viv06

If you’re looking for cheap, perhaps you shouldnt get a pet yet. Animals never run cheap. Vet bills, vaccinations, grooming for some dogs, license fee for having a pet (most states have this), a backyard or else a harness to walk your dog, etc etc etc…
If you cant afford that, which isnt cheap, perhaps dont get a dog just yet- also, usually the smaller they are, the more health problems can occur. Think deeply before you go out and buy a small dog who will have it’s life trusted in you. Michelle

I’ve read some of the answers to your question and think some have the right idea. Go to a shelter and find a pet there. You would be helping in two ways. These animals’ lives would end if they can’t be placed, and they are neutered before they are placed. rsr4me

yorkis poodles labradoodle really anything mixed with a poodle usually wont shed but are usually expensive you should try your local shelter or petfinder.com alot of pets need good homes even purebreds type in one of these breeds at petfinder and it will show a shelter nearest to you. jessicarunnels_2006

Dogs are like kids. They are never “cheap”. And if you do get a “cheap” dog then they will be even more expensive in the end because of all the health problems passed from bad breeding. Check at your local shelter, they will be inexpensive, and the dogs will have had their health problems taken care of. bladedogsrule

First of all, don’t get a teacup, as toy dogs are small enough and teacups often have health problems. If you want one that doesn’t shed, consider a long haired dog. I know it seems contradictory to common beleif, but their hair takes longer to grow out so it doesn’t fall out as much. Poodles, Malteses, and Yorkies would probably be your best bet, as they are all small and long haired. AKC. org has all the toy breeds listed, and the pound is also a viable option. Kate

Teacups are so small. I would imagine if they did shed it would be hard to see. However, I don’t think any teacup sized dog is going to be cheap. Mache

when you choose a dog from there you are saving his/her life!!
