i would take him to the vet if i was you, i had a cat once and i used the flea drops on her and the next day she was having fits so i took her to the vet and they did put it down to the flea drops and she had to stay at the vets for 4 days, she is ok now. minime

This could be a result of the dewormer, but throwing up isn’t usually part of it. Usually they will have diarrhea and not be interested in food. I suggest you call your Vet and tell them his symptoms. If he is a small dog, they cannot afford to loose to much fluid. The vomiting isn’t a good sign, and he will need to stay hydrated. Robin B

Yep…the general idea is to phone your vet. It may be costy but better than losing you pet. Maybe its an allergic reaction. If you actually take him, take the wormer packet if you still have it and anything else he could have got to that would make him sick. Good luck loopylucia

It could be a reaction to the worming treatment. I would take him to the vet & change his worming treatment next time rosiedobie

If you dog had a heavy infestation of worms it is highly likely that is why he has done this. See what happens is as the worms die and break down they release some toxins, that is why your dog would have had an upset tummy.
My suggestion is worm him again in 6 weeks, and worm all other animals in the family, that included the humans.
If you really concerned speak to your vet. Leonie V

If your dog is heavily infested with worms it is possible that they can vomit the worms up. If he has only vomited once and all esle seems fine, I would not worry too much about it. If it lasts more than a day or so, then call your immediately. If he stops eating or drinking or can’t keep anything down, then call your vet. eskie_mama2

My pup has been dewormed 3 times now and every single time we give her the medicine, she is very lethargic afterward, has loose stools, and vomits sometimes. If your dog is better today or later this afternoon then it’s safe to say it was just the dewormer. Good luck! Here and There

I’d recommend asking your vet this one.

I could say what I **think** is going on, but my opinion is not based on any great level of medical training. Terrier
