Dogs and Puppies

I just started a job with the electric company as a meter reader, which frequently requires me to go into people’s back yards, dogs or not. For some reason dogs have always liked me, even shy or usually aggressive ones. However I’m know that some dogs are going to bite no matter what. I’m sure every dog is different and that there’s no hard and fast rule, but generally speaking what are some signs that a dog isn’t just all bark and no bite? And is there anything you can do to discourage them? Thanks!

I am buying a dog soon, but know that in the summer I will not be home, so the dog is going to be sent to a dog hotel. This hotel has a lot of space and every dog will be walked and trained for obedience individually every single day. Also it will be socialized with other people and dogs.

My question is Is the dog going to be loyal to me when I come back, will it remember me?

I just moved my kitten into my new apartment. I live with 5 other people and 1 of them has a dog, which is a rat terrier mix. I have no door to my loft so I put up a gate to keep the dog out and the cat hasn’t yet ventured out of my room without me, mainly because he’s smart and knows a dog is out there.

This is the third night of having him and they’ve seen each other a few times through the gate. The kitten is relatively unresponsive to the dog, mainly hisses if even that. The dog however sits at the gate crying and, when he sees the cat, starts barking and altogether freaking out. The dog is also taking to sitting in front of the gate and crying when he can’t see where me and the cat are.

Any suggestions?

I recently lost one younger dog and the older dog has howled, whined and begged to sleep with me, all things that she has never done before the other dog’s death. The death was sudden and the older dog seems really sad. Am I crazy?

I currently have a 1yo toy papillon that is very nice, playful and loving. The issue is that she barks when ever somebody enters the house. I am looking to adopt my own dog, for this papillon is the family dog. I am a 19yo male who lives at home. I haVe always been a fan of doberman but fear they are too aggressive to live with a small dog such as my papillon. Any suggestions or advice?

I gave my dog a bottle of water from mexico and he got a real bad case of the the squirts. Its all over the floof, couch, bed, kitchen, and even in the fridge. What should i do?

3 times this week she done this strange thing where she drops down on her side and howls like shes in pain (like shes dieing)for like 15 seconds then shaking she sits up, then she runs off normally.

Oh and shes seeing a vet tomorrow but i just wondered if anyone has a dog with a similar problem

i already called the police for the guy because he keeps his dog on the street without a leech and the dog keeps on attacking me everytime he sees me.
but the guy just doesnt understand .
i need a solution for this problem and hopefully a way to get rid of that dog without anubody knowing that i did it .
