I just saw a question about someone getting a doberman puppy and wanting it to be an outdoor dog…..Many people said that, that breed is not a good outdoor dog, that it shoud lt should be indoors. Just wondering but what breeds then, are considered ‘good outdoor dogs?’
I know a lot of people think dogs should be kept indoors 24/7 or supervised while outside, but some breeds/dogs enjoy being outdoors more than others.

We have a pomeranian and a Llapso and both dogs have anal gland problems. I was told to add rice or pumpkin to their diet. Does that help? Can you tell me the name of a dry dog food that will help?
We do have their anal glands expressed regularly.

I have a dog (8ball) he is a retriever mix and about 10 months old. I have been trying to walk him but every time we run into a dog he tries to attack.

I turn around and try to go the opposite way but he just pulls and growls. I really want to be able to take him to the dog park and let him play with other dogs and play fetch at the park instead of our small backyard.

What can i do to train him to be more friendly with other dogs.

P.S. I dont want to get a personal trainer. It costs too much money.

I recently took in a puppy. She is very well-behaved, very calm and loving.
However, my three-year-old dog has been used to being the only pet in the household. She is not necessarily well-behaved among other dogs, so she growls at the puppy a lot. Her overall reaction is rather unwelcoming. When the puppy approaches her, she tends to let off a growl and her tail stands stiffly up.

My question is how do I integrate my older dog to the new puppy so that she’ll accept the family addition?

We are looking at a litter of 1/2 English, 1/2 American Labrador Puppies on Sat evening the 21st of April. (My husband works with the breeder).

The puppies will be 9 days old.

Should we pick our puppy right away based on appearance?

Or, should we go back later and pick a puppy when they have more personality?

This is our first time selecting a puppy from a litter, or a dog this young.

We have no clue if it even matters, so any advice is very welcome.

We are not new dog owners however, we are already owned by two lab mixes. One a year old and one 9 years.

Thank you!
