It seems like I spend all of my time online (here and elsewhere) telling people to please NOT breed their random dogs just because they want cute puppies or to make money. Do people realize that dog overpopulation means a death sentence for millions of (very cute, well-behaved, often pure-bred) dogs every year? And how about the health problems that many dogs have that make it difficult for them to have babies without complications? And the genetic defects (that can’t always been seen until the dog gets older) they can transfer to their offspring? And just the simple fact that the world does NOT need any more dogs–we have way way way more than enough already? So, why do people not spay and neuter their dogs? Is it out of selfishness (OMG my dog is the best dog in the whole entire world so none of the normal rules and facts apply), greed or ignorance?
I know there are lots of responsible dog owners who spay and neuter–I have two healthy, neutered dogs. But I am just completely horrified at the numbers of people that I keep encountering who seem to feel that breeding their family dog is a good idea.

Some people keep bringing their dogs to pee in front of my parents’ house. On their plants. It leaves a really strong smell. I don’t know how people can let their dogs pee on people’s potted plants!

Any ideas how to stop people from bringing their dogs to pee on the plants?

We clean up after them every time after they potty in the garage and even spray a deterrent so they’re aren’t suppose to pee on it again. We have two dogs a male and a female. They don’t pee in the house and we constantly take them outside so they are potty trained.

I live in Michigan, and it’s actually unseasonally warm right now, and when it does get very cold I let my dogs stay inside while I am at work (can’t do it all the time, they love to distroy everything I own) so while I am at work (about 8 hrs a day) they are outdoors in a 10×10 covered dog kennel with 2 large, insulated dog houses. My dogs are both lab mixes, one about 45 lbs, and the other about 65 lbs. Any interesting suggestions on how to help them stay warm while I am at work during the day?

I have a neighbor that has two pomeranians and a cat that she lets run the neighborhood. I have caught the dogs on two seperate occasions pooping in my front yard. I have knocked on her door and asked her to come and pick up the dog poop and she has. Is there a way to keep the dogs out of my yard?

My dogs never walk in circles. They lay down and smack. It’s cute and so adorable but I was just wondering why they do it. They never do it except when they go to fall asleep. If anybody has any clue, please help me!

Both dogs live together, and the bitch has been “locked” with the dog 3 times in last two days. The dogs belong to my son and he is proposing to neuter both dogs after one litter.
