grateful living asked: We are in the early stages of making plans to adopt a dog. We are aware that adopting means we will most likely get a mixed breed but we have heard conflicting info on which dogs are compatible with young children.
The children are old enough to respect a dog but just the same we want a dog that will play but not too rough.
I’m just looking for some ideas so when it is time to start looking we know which dogs to rule out.

1337 Cyclista asked: Me and my family have decided we want a dog. We have owned dogs before, but they never went well. Allot of the time, the dog either chews things, or is just not compatible with us. Now, many of my friends and cousins have dogs that fit perfectly with their family. How do I know which one is good?
Im looking for a dog, not very active, but not lazy at the same time. No shedding please. Also we’d like the dog medium to large size, that is a good outdoor dog, that we can stil bring inside.

Dot asked: For me it was (My Mum told me this when we were young)
You can’t give a dog chocolate because it can’t brush it’s teeth.
I have never given a dog chocolate because of this. Thank God, and I had no idea it could kill them.
I wonder how many generations that was passed down?

Cheyene B asked:
I have a 11 month old dog. He loves going to the park. We usually meet a friend with her dog. My dog is very excited and smells them in a rough way and the two dogs start playing roughly. I dont hold on to the leash because the other dog is trained not to run away. When he goes running to other dogs i need him to trained to come!

Becca asked:
I’m going to be getting a dog at the beginning of next summer, and will be certifying him/her with the Delta Society as a therapy dog. I would like to get a dog with a naturally calm and gentle temperament. What are some breeds you have seen to exhibit these characteristics?

CoolDad03 asked:
I have read and watched a lot of programs and they seem to indicate that you need to confine puppies in a small area and watch them intently so that when they begin to potty, you can stop them and move them to the appropriate area. With my 2 pups, once they squat, the process is not easily reverseable and as I move them to the appropriate area, they are tinkling or dropping terds the whole way. They are just over 10 weeks old. Help!!!

Looking to buy a purebred puppy and I want to find a safe and reliable place to look without pupy mills. Possibly a popular website, but all suggestions would be great. Craigslist and ebay don’t have puppies for sale. I already checked.

My roomate/landlord has two dogs that poop and pee all over the apt. The whole place smells like a kettle and I just want to know if this affects my health in any way.
